The Escapism Zone
Forensics is a serious business and whatever your connection with the discipline it's important to have some time away from it.
This page allows you to do just that. Whether it's something to make you laugh, something to give your mind a work out or something completely inane like an alien shoot em up, everything you find on this part of the website is designed for pure unadulterated escapism.
I certainly want to include a comedy section and while I appreciate that tastes differ when it comes to the old
funny bone, there are certain things that come along that go straight into the classic category.
Comedy Dance Off
The pressing question of which is the best comedy dance ever was first discussed over several beers. Sadly no clear consensus arose, hence the reason for this vote, it's time to let the people decide.
Watch all five finalists in action and then cast your vote.
1. Monica and Ross 'The Routine' From Friends
2. David Brent From The office (UK)
3. Torrance Community Dance Group: 'Praise You Fatboy Slim'
4. Frank Skinner Dances For Britney Spears
5. Michael Scott From The Office (US)

Talking of classic comedy here are two clips courtesy of my comedy hero Ricky Gervais in his latest series 'extras'. The first clip stars David Bowie and the second stars none other than Daniel (Harry Potter) Radcliffe as you've never seen him before!

Brilliant Free Murder Mystery Games
Just in case you can't escape from the draw of forensic investigation completely, I've managed to find some brilliant online murder mystery games.
I scoured the Internet looking for free murder mystery games more out of hope than expectation that I'd actually be able to find some high quality ones.
Much to my delight; however, the good old BBC has come up trumps again. To play the following games, you will need to have a program called RealPlayer installed on your computer. If you don't have RealPlayer you can download it for free by clicking here
To get the most out of these free murder mystery games, you will also need Adobe Reader (the latest version is recommended) installed on your computer in order to open and read crime scene reports, charge sheets etc. You can get Adobe Reader here
(a new window will open so you can download without leaving this page).
If you want to open the file in your browser window, you can just click on the links. However if you want to download the file to view later, then right click on the link and choose "Save Target As" or "Save File As." Then select where you want to save the file on your hard drive.
Once you have saved the file, locate where you saved it, and double click to open.

Other Games & Puzzles
Remember your brain is a muscle and needs exercising to get stronger.
To keep the little grey cells firing, try doing a Su Doku puzzle a day.
If you haven't tried Su Doku, basically you enter numbers from 1 to 9 into the blank spaces of a grid.
Every row must contain one of each digit. So must every column, as must every 3x3 square.
Doesn't sound that exciting does it? But beware, it's very addictive.
