What is need to be a "Criminal Profiler"
by: Jaylinn

Criminal profiling is actually not a profession. The term "criminal profiler" was invented by the movies. Personally, I wanted to get into "criminal profiling" but now I am more interested in forensic psychology. Which is pretty much what you are talking about.

In order to get there, you are going to need at least a BA degree in a criminal justice course as well as a degree in psychology. You will need a minimum of 1 year doing work in a mental hospital or some sort. There is many things that go into working for the hospital as well.

You will need to do a lot of research on what you want to do. Use google to look up the qualifications of a forensic psychologist. You will find many sights that can be more detailed.

I hope this helps and good luck to you.
