Degree Path To A Career in Forensics

I was interesting in pursuing a career in Forensics. Although I am not sure which degree would assist me in making the decision. I currently hold an associate degree in Elementary Education and I am 12 credits from my Bachelor's in Management Information Systems.

Would I need to start from the beginning and get an associate's degree in Criminal Justice and then onto another Bachelor's in Forensic Science? I am concerned that this would take another 4 years before I would even be able to begin.
