This is a scenario given in a current Forensic Psychology class I'm taking.

Scenario: You are the officer on the scene of an assault and battery outside your local bar.

  • In the parking lot, you have a man who has been cut on his arm with a knife.

  • You have another man in custody who has cut marks on the palms of his hands.

  • The knife is on the ground, and it was not near either perpetrator.

  • What things should I look for to decide if this was a pre-meditated attack? An attack between gang members? Or if this was an attack caused by anger?

    Thanks!!
