Placement Year in Forensic Psychology

by Chloe
(UK)

I am currently in my first year of university in the UK studying psychology. The university I'm at is one of the few that allows students to take a placement year in their third year then finish their degree in a fourth year.

I was wondering if I would need any relevant work experience to get a placement year in forensic psychology and if so, what sort of work experience? Also, this may sound silly, but I can be a bit squeamish and was wondering if a career in forensic psychology was particularly gory?

Thanks,

Chloe
